Hi, I’m Monika but everyone calls me Mon. I'm the founder, designer, label printer, coffee drinker, and the mildly chaotic force behind Put A Name On It. If you’ve ever bought from my shop, followed along on socials, or wondered what it’s like running a one woman gifting empire (as if haha) from my dinning table stacked with candle jars and pouches... well, now you’ll know.
Welcome to my brain in blog form, slightly chaotic, mildly caffeinated, and full of ideas.
So... why start a blog?
Because this business isn’t just about personalised products. It’s about the stories behind them.
It’s about:
- The best friend who buys a candle that says “Still not over it” for her mate post-breakup.
- The more unhinged personalisations that make my day, but also, I can’t believe they just said that.
- The mum who wants her kids’ names stitched somewhere she can see them, even on the mad days.
- The business owner who messages me at midnight needing 60 personalised soap dispensers for his launch in four days (been there).
I’ve always wanted to share more of that, and since, I hate the sound of my voice, I figured, I'd write instead. The stories, the ideas, the chaos, the real life inspiration behind each order. And if you’re reading this, you’re part of it now.
What you’ll find here
This blog isn’t going to be polished perfection. It’s going to be useful, real, and occasionally a bit sweary (don’t worry, I’ll label it “mild” like a Nando’s sauce bottle). Expect:
Gifting guides that don’t feel like a copy paste list
I’ll show you what actually works for those impossible to buy for people.
Behind the scenes peeks
The good, the ugly and the sneak peak of new stuff.
Product tips
Like how to apply labels without bubbling them. (It’s easier than assembling IKEA furniture, promise.)
Small business life
I’ll share honest updates, from growth wins to “how did I spill wax everywhere, again?” moments.
Your ideas featured
Yep, some of you come up with better label text than I ever could. You’ll get credit. Pinky swear.
Want in?
If you’re here for ideas, humour, or a little reminder that you’re not the only one winging adulthood, WELCOME! You’re in the right place.
Got a burning question, blog request, or just fancy a nosey behind the scenes? Drop a comment, email me, or slide into my Instagram DMs (I read them all while reheating my coffee for the third time).
Let’s make this fun. Let’s make it personal.

Maker of things. Teller of stories. Putter of names on stuff.
